The title of the post says it all, I have many clients ask about video and I always am in favor of it. The mini motion picture of your day will be kept and shared over and over again, from you to your children to your children's children. It will play on your mile stone anniversaries and hopefully each anniversary preceding. Besides a photographer and a coordinator a videographer is a vendor must!
Never have there ever been a client who regretted spending the money. Today we share a snippet of Kyle and Hannah's wedding day, shared with us from one of our Preferred Vendors, Karyn Reohr of
Black Label Films. It's precious and shows you, through emotion, why you must hire a videographer...watch and see.
Kyle & Hannah | Wedding in Hubbard, Oregon from Black Label Films on Vimeo.
From Karyn, of Black Label Films:: I recently was privileged to film the wedding of Kyle and Hannah in the countryside of Hubbard, Oregon at a cute little Zion Mennonite church. Kyle and Hannah's wedding was really special on many levels and when choosing music I decided that quirky and light-hearted just wouldn't cut it for this wedding so instead I chose a cinematic piece with more emotion.
I met Hannah at a Hillsboro Chamber of Commerce event where she was representing her bank. She mentioned to me that she was getting married in just a month, and they hadn't picked a videographer yet! We scheduled a lunch date and bonded over Red Robin bottomless fries. :-) Later in the month I went to Newberg to meet her fiance Kyle, and their photographer, Bryan, to have a planning session.
I have to say it was a joy to shoot alongside Bryan Rupp Photography. The bride wore an absolutely gorgeous romantic Casablanca dress, and the entire day was filled with special touches that Hannah and Kyle had planned down to the last detail. Their day was focused on the 300+ guests they had, and they spent the entire reception talking with their guests. The day finished with the bride and groom jetting off in his Harley Davidson motorcycle. Unfortunately I couldn't stay for that but I did spot the chrome beauty waiting for their getaway, just outside the church entrance...how much fun is that!
Most touching part of the day: Although there were many I was particularly touched by their first look. Kyle turned around grinning, expecting (I think) to take the whole thing light-heartedly, and instead his eyes bugged out of his head and he said, "Oh, my WORD." If you look on the film, you can see his lips mouthing that when he sees her. It was sooo cute! Everyone was laughing and it was just a spectacular moment, one of many throughout the day....
Black Label is a fantastic company to work with and they are working with a couple Luxe Brides this summer! Their not the most expensive but not the least, they are just right and worth every penny.
