Luxe Find :: DIY Rosemary-honey Jars

I found this great little post on 100 Layer Cake, it actually was a guest blog post from Truly Smitten. Many of our clients ask about favors and want to make or give something that is local and of use to their guests -so when I found this I thought it would be fun to share such an inexpensive and fun DIY project.

DIY Guest Favors :: Rosemary-Honey JarsWhat you’ll need::
  1. small jars with attached lid
  2. cotton twill ribbon or any 1/2″ thick ribbon
  3. cheese cloth
  4. adhesive paper sheet
  5. 1.5″ scallop or round puncher
  6. hot glue gun or double sided tape
  7. honey
  8. sprigs or rosemary
How to::
  1. Make sure the jars are cleaned and dried.
  2. Wrap the cotton ribbon around and secure the overlapped ends with glue or tape.
  3. Print your design on to an adhesive sheet and use the round or scallop puncher to punch out your labels.
  4. Attach the sticker label to the center of the jar and ribbon.
  5. Trim the rosemary sprigs so that it fits into the jar.
  6. Pour the honey inside and be sure to leave a little bit of room at the top.
  7. Cut out a small double layered square of cheesecloth.
  8. Lay it over the mouth of the jar, then close the lid.
  9. Cleanly trim off any access cloth. And voila, you are done!

Found this an thought you'd likey. I likey becasue it is not just a square or rectangle in shape, besides the colors make a statement for sure.

From Brides:: An ornate, scrolled pattern provided a chic contrast to the stark setting; the design debuted on the invitation, and similar scrolling appeared on menu and escort cards and even the cake. Here, Swarovski crystals adorn this intricately designed, letterpressed, die-cut invitation, $1,524 for 50, by Dauphine Press, dauphinepress.com.

Real Wedding :: Leah & Levi's Ranch Wedding

When I saw this wedding I knew I had found a great photographer. I was right, the wedding was shot by San Fransico Wedding Photographer, Jesse Leake. His work is stunning and all his clients seem to be just as beautiful...like Leah below. Leah and Levi tied the knot at Holman Ranch in Carmel Valley California. Leah's soft and inviting palette of blush and powder blues coupled with her maids in a silvery periwinkle made this event one romantic affair. I really like giving floral pomander balls to jr. bridesmaids and flower girls, if made correctly they make great keepsakes when dried. That's always fun for young ones. Simply printed escort cards with plastic stakes...understated but really effective. Did you notice the cake topper? Bicycle...Those groomsmen look like a riot! Love fun-loving people.

There is much more to see of this wedding, head over to Jesse's Blog and see for your self...

THE VERY BEST Engagement Sessions I have Ever Seen :: Part 1

Today I will be sharing 2 of what I think are the 2 VERY BEST EVER engagement sessions. I may be being a little over the top, but what's new? I am serious though, I really like this session...I will be sharing the other in a few...

Sara and Nick, engaged and in love, you can tell. The scene is super casual and natural. Just the two of them at the beach, Mission Beach and in swimwear! Most people would laugh at the idea but when you live in San Diego and you live in swimwear most of the year, what else is more natural? SEE MORE! You know you want to...

Like the swim suit Sara is wearing? She got it at Victoria's Secret, you can peep it HERE. It's even on sale!

All these lovely photos were captured by the uber awesome and ultra talented Luna Photo

Check back later this morning for Part 2 of what I think is one of the very best engagement sessions I have ever seen!

Real Wedding :: Graphite, Ivory & Black

It was this picture to the left that I found on We Heart it.

It was the grape vine lit hanging balls that grabbed me. I love little lights...the huge grapevine balls really gave this event a little something extra. Especially them hanging above the reception area....

Then the colors, graphite, ivory and black?! Chic and trendy yet elegant all at the same time. From the floral to the long bridesmaid gowns this event was such a beauty.

All photos were captured by the talented Austin wedding photographer, Jennifer Lindberg.

Take a look...
One of my very favorite parts about this entire event was the groom's suit and Converse shoes. Pinstripe sassyness!
I know you love this wedding. The colors are inviting and it's such an effortless design, how could you not? You can see more on Jennifer Lindberg's Blog and event more on Style Me Pretty.

Even though it may look 'effortless' it's not...it takes a professional to pull off details like these. I'm telling you if you want a wedding design like this you must hire a wedding coordinator, there are many reasons why, but most of all you'll want to enjoy this design as much on your wedding day as you did dreaming it up. So enlist the help of a professional to pull
it all together, trust me it will be money well spent and I promise you will not regret it.

Real Wedding :: Santa Barbra Urban Jungle Theme

Michelle and Dane married in beautiful Santa Barbra and what attracted me to their wedding was their "Urban Jungle" themed wedding design.

The scene was set in at the Montecito Country Club in Santa Barbara.

All of the coordination was done by Alexandra Kolendrianos and all the photos were shot by Braedon Photography.

This wedding is full of cost effective and noteworthy details. Not to mention Santa Barbra is such a chic little Cali' town.

Michell and Dane certainly know how to create a memorable event...

First thing that caught my eye was the print on the dresses Michelle chose for her bridesmaids. Imaginative and flirty, perfect for their "Urban Jungle" theme. See...I am not kidding when I say "Be You, Be Original" -It pays off.
Then once I got a deeper look into this stunning event design I really liked the idea of the floral...exotic orchids and palm make these bouquets the ideal theme builders further enhancing their "Urban Jungle" theme. Not to mention Michelle is a knockout.
The more little personalized details you incorporate into your design the more memorable the event will be for all who attend. Like these cheetah print favor boxes and mini ferns.
Still loving these Tiger Orchids...Don't you?
Handmade flower girl baskets made great little keepsakes too.
This wedding is just a pretty one and you should head over to Braedon Photography to see the rest. You'll likey! Also leave a comment for Braedon and let them know how much you liked their work. While you are there you should check out some more of their weddings...you'll be inspired for sure.
