Oh I love letterpress. I mean really, how could you not. Thank God it is becoming more affordable. This next year Luxe Designs will launch it's own retail line of Local Letterpress. I am stoked to be able to offer this to our clients. Our designer and I have been working weekly to design urban , chic and modern designs for today's style savvy clients. Good morning! Well I thought we'd be launching the blog and website today but it seems technology has taken over again and we are still a few more days out. Such a bummer...the good part about all of this is that the unveiling will be even more exciting when we do. Hope you'll stick around for it, it's going to be worth the wait. Promise.

Luxe Find :: Cute as a Button Bridal Bouquets

I certainly stumbled onto something totally unique and seriously cute here when I found these button bridal bouquets. Created by Lil' Fish Studio's Lisa Jordan, the crafter of these vintage button bouquets, really has out down herself.

Just look at how darling they are. I see some Portland brides freakin' out over this Luxe Find.

Lisa is located in Minnesota, just north of Chi-town. She currently is not taking requests for custom bouquets but there are many Etsy shop peeps that do. Head over there and search for Vintage Button Bouquets.

Regardless whether you get a custom design or DIY these are too cute not to share and will be the perfect addition to a vintage inspired wedding.

Luxe Find :: RUCHE Alternative Bridesmaid Dresses :: Dresses your girlfriends WILL wear again

Thanks to Luxe NW 7 Featured Photographer, Gina Emerson, for finding today's {Luxe Find} and our Saturday Sleep-in Feature. It's a new site, well new to me anyway...the site sells some really fabulous dresses and accessories, the site is called RUCHE. Have you heard of it? Am I the only one who hasn't?

Here's the RUCHE story...

The reason I show you is that RUCHE entire line of 'alternative' bridesmaid dresses' that are so stinking cute AND any maid who buys one will surly wear it again. The best part is that the prices are so ridiculously reasonable! I mean it.

When Gina first sent this to me I was in awe, as I found so many dresses I honestly really liked alot and my first thought was "How Portland" these dresses are so urban and chic at the same time.

I can name multiple clients that I know of now that are trying to find dresses like this. So I say move over JCrew...RUCHE just might be steppin' in line...Ok maybe that was a bold statement...but really though look at these cuties.

Ok needless to say I am glad we know of this lil' gem called RUCHE. It's a great alternative to the "everyday" maid's dresses we know all too well. I mean don't get me wrong I swoon over a Melissa Sweet Dress. But these days with the ever changing traditions of weddings I see more and more girls wanting to have something more realistically priced for their girls to wear. After all it's not cheap being a bridesmaid.

Besides couldn't you see these dresses in the fall too with leggings under? Umm, cute!

Yes! Don't you love the BIG flower below? I am digging this trend for sure. SO "in" so trendy right now. I like it though and it think it lends to a relaxed but well put-together look.

Oh I really love this pistachio one below. It reminds me of a late summer bohemian vibe.

Then! Not only do they have kick ass alternative maid's dresses perfect for the NW gal, they also have totally reasonable accessories to match! I don't know about what jewelery piece get you going but cocktail rings are mine, I collect cocktail rings and designer watches...love'm! Which one do you like?

Good Day! I am so excited to be working on our new website all day that I will not be posting today. So much is waiting in the wing too and I can not wait to share. Oh you are going to love what I have in store...

Ok, I can't resisit, here's a little sneak peek of one of our photos that will be on our new website. Given to us as a gift from celebrity photographer, Robert Evans. It's been a favorite photo of mine for years and I have been holding on to it for a while. Robert Evans is one of the worlds best photographers and one of the nicest guys.

Luxe Find :: Every Bride has her Maid

When I was planning my own wedding I totally fell in love with this company, Ink Box Design. Their vintage inspired products were chic, trendy and completely fit my theme. They have created a bridal line called "CAKE" and it's cheeky prints are perfect for today's style savvy, urban chic bride.

My fave is the doggie shirt, where your puppers is part of the big day or not, just get one, they are too cute not to have them wear even if its on the weekend before your big day or in the morning while you are getting ready. Perfect Kodak moment for sure.

The even cuter part is that you can grab the matching note cards as well when you buy these vintage inspired, ultra soft Tees for your maids. This is one time "Matchy, Matchy" works! The Look of Love :: Bridal Hair Style

There are so many options for your big day, which to choose?

Picking the hair style that you will look at in your pictures for the rest of your life is a big deal. Not to mention it's not like you style you hair like this everyday so more often then not this hair style will be the very first time you've worn it. Which makes choosing the hair style a little challenging. You may know exactly what you want however when you look at a picture like the ones found from InStyle Weddings below you may realize you don't have enough hair or you don't look like the model in the image or maybe you have curly hair {like me} and the style you love is best for straight hair. Either way my suggestion is you contact a professional for some sage hair advice.

There are a few local places I suggest but most of all my favorite is London Influence on 10th and Alder downtown Portland. Really any stylist will do, all are super great and easy to work with. Not to mention you get served a beverage of your choice while in the salon, my choice is usually a little glass or two of Bubbly! Your actual trial-run of your hair do is FREE. When you go tell them Misty Damico sent you...Checkout their reviews, you'll be sold once you read...

Ok, moving on...

If the hair decision wasn't hard enough now you need to narrow down whether or not you will have a hair accessories, veil, comb, tiara, fascinator...the list goes one. And if you are anything like me I wanted it all, the long veil, the cage veil, the fascinator, the flower...I just couldn't decide. I actually bought them all...but that's another story in it's self.

I love the simplicity of the headband below, I am lovin' the headband look lately. Casual yet classic chic and a bit modern day urban too.

You will never be able to replicate any one style unless it is the simplest of styles that anyone could wear but your stylist will be able to give you that "vibe" that "look" the feeling the image portrays just in YOUR own unique way.

Red Leaf, as you know, is one of my favorite photography studios. I just wish they were local, I'd love to meet them in person. Email is all we got for now...

Ok...moving on...when I saw this session below, I totally fell in love, snow AND autumn leaves -shut up! Yes! Yes! Yes! Snow! So cool. What a fun combo, snow and leaves that vibrant don't happen too often together...well at least not here anyway.
